Growing up I loved to be apart of my mom's kitchen. I would even invent recipes to make things taste better! It was a joy to take bland ingredients and create something that was amazing and enjoyable to eat.
I learned from the best as my mom taught me all she knew in how to cook and bake for our large and growing family. She nurtured my love for baking and my father of course loved to eat everything that I baked!
Now I have a family of my own and that love for the kitchen is still strong. Love for my family inspires me to create wonderful tasting food that they can enjoy along with me.
When I found out that I had a gluten intolerance, I was very disappointed with the lack of "tasty" food available. So, I learned to whip my old favorite recipes into food that was edible for me as well as delicious for my family to enjoy as well.
I have a real sweet tooth and love making anything with sugar and chocolate. Once I decided to be a stay at home mom after years of teaching 3rd and 4th grade, I had an idea strike that I got very excited about! That is when Sweet as Dough was formed and created.
